3 Meets in the Same Weekend!

This past weekend saw Excel swimming in three different meets.

First up, the Fred Lamback Para Meet in Cumming, GA where we had Emme Perry and Josh Strachan competing. Even though we are in the middle of short course season, all Para Meets compete in long course but that didn't slow these two swimmers down. Josh won the 50 and 100 Back while Emme did the same for the 50 and 100 Breast. The big news for Emme was that she hit the US Paralympic Nationals time standard in the 100 Breast by clocking a 2:01.38, earning her both a trip to Para Nationals and a spot or our National Team. Congratulations Emme!

We also had 200 swimmers at the TNAQ Fall Invite- a meet we have attended for the last couple of seasons. While we always swim fast there, we were especially excited this year as we had electric swims from all age groups of the team. A special congratulations goes out to Zara Kocak for her Summer Junior Qualifying time of 1:59.20 in the 200 Fly and Mason Schaefer who's 21.64 in the 50 free was his first NCSA Junior National time earning him the coveted National Team white cap. 

Finally, we sent 12 swimmers up to the City of Mason November Invite in Ohio where we had the opportunity to swim an early season prelims/finals format. While competing against very fast teams from outside our immediate area, our swimmers turned in a couple more NCSA cuts to continue a Fall season that has been nothing short of amazing.

We want to send out a very heartfelt "Thanks" to our three amazing host teams who both put on outstanding meets and showed incredible hospitality to our teams.
