Each year, the American Swimming Coaches Association ranks the top 50 Age Group programs. The calculations are based on the number of swimmers from 9 to 14 years of age that acheive either AAA or AAAA times. This year, we were ranked #42 for those teams that have more than 400 members. We weren't alone in the Southeastern Conference. While we were the only big team recognized, a big shout out to: TNAQ Birmingham Swim League Auburn Aquatics Lifetime Southeast All who placed in the small team category. Congratulations to...

This past week, we had three of our senior swimmers travel up to Fishers Indiana to attend the SwimStrong Dryland Camp. Sarah Carrico, Samuel Martin and Zaki Ibrahim spent five days with 80 other swimmers from across the country spending time in the classroom, gym and in the pool. Additionally, college coaches from 17 different schools were on site and available to all the swimmers. The camp concluded with a short course meet where each swimmer swam a couple of events to implement everything that they picked up during their...

Congratulations to the small group of swimmers that we swam in the 2025 HSA June Invite this past weekend. This was a fast prelims/finals meet that attracted fast teams like Dynamo and Kansas City Blazers. Congratulations to Zara Kocak who picked up two more summer junior cuts and a team record and to both Kingston Dealy and Issac Barritt who each earned their spot on the National Team with a new NCSA Junior National cut. Finally, a big shout out to Hensley Ann Brown for hitting her first SES Summer...

Congratulations to all of our swimmers who swam this past weekend in the 2025 Firecracker meet. This was one of only four meets that we host in the prelims/finals format and the excitement was at an all-time high! When the dust settled, we ended up with 4 new team records, 11 new members of the SES team and a new Summer Junior qualifier. None of this could have been done without a whole lot of help so we have some "Thanks!" to hand out: Our meet sponsors Premiere Pools and...

Congratulations to Bryce Winzenread for competing in her first USA Swimming National Championships this past week. Coming off a quick turn around from competing in London just 10 days earlier, Bryce swam all three Breaststroke events. The highlights were her earning second swims in both the 50 and 100 Breast and setting two team records along the way. Her 50 Breast prelim swim of 32.84 lowered her own team record by .1 but did earn her a spot in the D final where she once again, set a new record...

Our very own Coach Daun (who is the reigning SES Age Group Coach of the year) has just earned yet another honor. Daun has been selected to be the Southeastern Swimming representative for the Women in Governance program held at the annual USA Swimming Convention. The mission of the Women in Governance program is as follows: The Women in Governance program is geared towards identifying, educating, supporting and mentoring female coaches who wish to be more involved in organizational governance. Coach Daun will be heading to Denver this September to...

Congratulations to Zara Kocak and Bryce Winzenread to who just returned from competing in London at the Adam Peaty Race International. Both girls were representing the NCSA All-Star team that they qualified for in April. Despite a slightly different format, Zara and Bryce adapted well to swim fast. On the first day, Zara ended up 5th overall and 1st in the 18 & U in the 200 Fly- swimming a new team record time of 2:15.60 and US Open cut. That same evening, Bryce swam a new team record 2:34.19...

Congratulations to all of our swimmers who competed this weekend in the Excel May Open. As this was only our first meet of the season, we were very impressed with results that we saw from all age groups. Congratulations to our 3 swimmers who hit Summer Junior qualifying times, our 6 swimmers who together broke 9 team records and our 11 new SES Championship team qualifiers. In addition, while the season is still young, Congratulations go out to Brooklyn Lewis who is currently ranked #1 in the country for 12...

Congratulations to Emmeline Perry who re-qualified for Para Nationals in the 100 Breast at the 2025 Bill Keating Memorial Para-Swimming Open hosted at Xavier University. Emme is classified as an S9 and her time of 2:03.44 earned her a spot in the 2026 Para National Meet in Boise, ID. What's particularly impressive is that in Para-Swimming, there are no age groups. In fact, Emme who is 13, was the youngest swimmer in her event which included two athletes in their 20s. While Emme is a member of our Junior 2...
