This past weekend, Excel had a team of 77 swimmers travel North to Louisville, KY to compete in the Cardinal Aquatics Throwdown meet. The pool, the atmosphere and the swimming were all top-notch and our team has a lot to be pround of. As we celebrate our historic first Triple Crown of Championships, we need to pause to reflect what this means for our program. The term “Triple Crown” is used across sports and always to reflect an accomplishment higher than simply being a one-time champion. The Excel Aquatics program and three of our swimmers were recently featured in an article in the Tennessean published on November 27th. It featured Gavin Fu, Callum Farneth, and Charlie Turner since those swimmers won every event they swam at the recent TNAQ meet. Checking in with Coach Steven and our High Performance Team In the Spring of 2021, Coach Steven created a High Performance Team at Excel specifically to focus on our elite swimmers and their pursuit of national competitions. Although our club has a long history of elite swimming, he felt that due to recent growth in both numbers and performance at the age group level, it was time to create a group that extends across all sites, but is specifically for those swimmers who have already achieved a national time standard....

Good Luck to Meredith DiPasquale and Zoe Summar who will represent Excel Aquatics at the US Open Meet this weekend in Huntsville, AL. Due to Covid, the format is slightly different than in years past as there are two sessions per day, but they are timed finals.
